Challenge your prejudice by checking out a “Human Book” at UNH Manchester on Tuesday, April 15.
UNH Manchester has joined Goffstown High school and the Goffstown Public Library to offer the “Greater Manchester Human Library” this spring. The Human Library is a living, breathing library where humans are the books and the stories are their lives.
Founded in Copenhagen,Denmark, the Human Library is an initiative that spans the globe with a common goal of challenging prejudice through respectful conversations with members of the public who borrow them from the Human Library.
“Human Books” available to check-out at UNH Manchester will include stories from people who have experienced stereotyping and/or prejudice due to race, sex, disability, sexual preference, gender identity, religion/belief, profession, and/or lifestyle choices.
