STEM Discovery Lab Hosts Programming Showcase Oct. 24

The University of New Hampshire at Manchester, with sponsorship from Comcast Internet Essentials, will host a STEM Discovery Lab Programming Showcase on Friday, October 24 followed by teacher professional development workshops. The UNH STEM Discovery Lab is dedicated to creating innovative and research-based educational opportunities for students and teachers in K-12 classrooms.

The Oct. 24 program will feature information about STEM Ambassadors, the Lab’s newest program for Manchester Memorial and Central High Schools. STEM Ambassadors is a year-long mathematics program which takes place on-site at Manchester’s Memorial and Central High Schools for academically at-risk, English Language Learner (ELL) students in grade 10, their families and educators. The program builds and supports STEM pathways for talent currently underrepresented in the STEM fields. The program is offered with support from the Comcast Essentials Program.
