Jeanne Gerard to offer Accounting Courses within Business Program

Jeanne Gerard, CPA, will join UNH Manchester this fall as a Lecturer of Business. She will teach courses in Financial, Managerial, and Intermediate Accounting. Gerard has been with the college for two years as an adjunct professor teaching courses in Tax, Auditing and Intermediate Accounting.

Gerard previously worked as the Chair of the Business Administration Division and Assistant Professor of Accounting at Franklin Pierce University. She taught, among other courses, Principles of Accounting I & II, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Auditing, Forensic Accounting and Individual Income Taxes.

Prior to joining Franklin Pierce, she taught Accounting courses at New Hampshire Community Technical College in Nashua and was also the Running Start Coordinator.

Gerard has been a Certified Public Accountant in New Hampshire since 1988 and has worked with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche) as well as regional and local public accounting firms. She has also run her own public accounting firm where she completed audits for Homeowners' Associations, Housing Authorities and non-profit organizations as well as tax returns for individuals and small business owners.

Gerard graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in elementary education. She earned an MS in Early Childhood Development from Bank Street College and later returned to school and earned an MS in Accounting from SUNY Albany.
