Congratulations to staff member Lee Follansbee Beaulac who was elected President of the American Legion's Women's Auxiliary Unit 37, Merrill-Follansbee in Hooksett, NH where she has been a member of the organization for more than five years.

As president, Follansbee Beaulac will coordinate and encourage members to participate in fundraisers for local veterans.

Follansbee Beaulac’s most recent fundraising activity, which she did in collaboration with UNH Manchester’s Student Veteran Advocacy Team, was to benefit the Liberty House and homeless veterans. The sneaker collection and fundraiser collected over 50 pairs of sneakers and $700 for the Liberty House, which translated to $14,000 in food at the NH Food Bank for the Liberty House.

She has also helped to coordinate gift baskets to raise funds for the Auxiliary and monthly breakfasts for the American Legion. In addition, Follansbee Beaulac and her husband volunteer their time as caregivers for a disabled veteran.

Founded in 1919, The American Legion Auxiliary has nearly 1 million members and administers hundreds of volunteer programs, gives tens of thousands of hours to its communities and to veterans, and raises millions of dollars to support its own programs, as well as other worthwhile charities familiar to Americans. It is all accomplished with volunteers.
